Caring Hearts Food & Clothing Pantry
The Caring Hearts Ministry is an outreach to our community that provides stop-gap food and clothing to needy families.
Located adjacent to the Family Life Center, the Food Pantry is open Tuesday mornings and Thursday afternoons for those having difficulty obtaining the basics of life. While at the panty, visitors receive a week’s worth of food for their family. They may also select several items of good-quality, slightly used clothing. They are also welcome to share any personal prayer requests.
At Christmas time, the Ministry also operates a Christmas project. Enrolled families receive a full Christmas meal, and gifts for family members. The joy of the needy families participating in the project is wonderful to behold, but it is rivaled by the joy of those who shop and pack the gifts.
The Caring Hearts Ministry depends completely on freewill donations of food, clothing, and financial assistance. All staff members are trained volunteers. New volunteers are always welcome. Anyone interested in helping with the weekly ministry or with the Christmas project may contact Susan Croxton (firstname.lastname@example.org).
