Christmas in the Park
Christmas In The Park 2012
This free family event was held at Suwanee Town Center Park on
Friday, December 7 and Saturday, December 8.
Our community enjoyed live Christmas music, a Christmas village setting, a children’s nativity, refreshments, crafts and much more!
The 5th annual Christmas In The Park was a gift from Shadowbrook Baptist Church to the Suwanee community!
Many enjoyed an evening with their family listening to live Christmas music provided by local schools and churches. The Christmas village consisted of 11 Christmas buildings that offered children’s activities and a children’s nativity for kids of all ages. There was a children’s train ride along with many lights and sounds of Christmas. Thousands enjoyed a complimentary cup of hot chocolate and cookies while they strolled through the Christmas village and stopped to get photographs with our costumed Dicken’s villagers. Many visited our caricature artists throughout the park!
Many were challenged at “The Great Winter Race” where kids and adults competed for the best time. Gift cards were awarded at the end of the evening. Everyone enjoyed a little competition!
New to Christmas In The Park this year was caricature artists!
Through December 14 we will collect items this year to help the Caring Hearts Ministry, a Suwanee community food bank. Requested items:
- Canned food
- New or gently used shoes for children (kids size 5 – adult size 12)
