BASIC CHURCH

Sermon Series

Have you ever really thought about what makes a church a church? In today's consumer-driven world, the church can be viewed as a place where my religious preferences are met, and I meet my friends. But the redemptive story revealed in God's word shares a different idea of what makes the church unique and valued. Join us in January as we look into the Bible and discover what makes a church a church. This will be a great series for us to recenter our motivations and expectations for the coming year and encourage us to prioritize meaningful things.

MESSAGES

What is a church?

The Bible has long recorded the story of God's people. The New Testament reveals what the Old Testament has concealed regarding the church. A New Testament Church is a gathering of regenerate believers who meet in a local community to read, sing, preach, pray and see the Bible in baptism and the Lord's supper. Individuals who have experienced the grace of God can be seen in the metaphors of the body, a family, and a flock under God's care. Our world needs clear answers regarding what makes a church biblical.
