Jerrod Rumley

In this final paragraph of 2 Peter, the Apostle encourages his readers to live in accordance with the hope of Jesus' return.

Join us we close out our time with 2 Peter.

As gathered Christians, we want to hear from only from God's Word and guard ourselves against heretical teaching that will divide and ensnare us.

Join us as we look to 2 Peter 2:1-22 for training on how to identify false teachers and false teaching in the church for the sake of holiness.

In 2 Peter 1:1-15, Peter writes to confront false teaching and false teachers within the church. To thwart these anti-Gospel ideas, Peter seeks to anchor Christians in the message of Christ and encourages believers to walk and grow in that message.

We will be encouraged to know that we have everything we need for life and godliness when we have Jesus.

It's ok to ask God "why" in the seasons that we suffer for our Christian faith. What we will learn from God's Word in 1 Peter 4:12-29 will help carry us through hard times with a joyful and Jesus-centered focus. We will see that having an eternal perspective guides us through temporary suffering for our faith.

In his suffering, Christ revealed a compassionate, kind, and loving disposition that Christians are to emulate as they will inevitably suffer for the sake of Christ.

Join Jerrod as he preaches from 1 Peter 3:8-22 and communicates that God calls Christians be sensitive sojourners who suffer well.
