Jerrod Rumley

In this final message from our Song of Songs series, the husband and bride detail their love for each other, communicating how their love is like a refuge for them. Godly marriages are an example to their community of the attentive and intentional love we have from Christ. In him we are fully known and fully loved.

Chapters 5 and 6 of Song of Songs continues to express the joy of intimacy between a husband and wife. As the husband and wife celebrate the safety they have found in each other and the enjoy the love they have for each other, we will be reminded of the mutual edification and enjoyment the church will experience for eternity with Christ our refuge and eternal Savior.

As husbands and wives we must be aware of the dangers that can creep into our marriages. Song of Songs 2:8-3:5 tells us to be patient and intentional with our spouses in the Lord , and enjoy the delights of the God-given covenant of marriage.
